BRANOfol Multitron

BRANOfolMultitronis a special multilayer film composed of a pollutant filter in the outer layer, a water vapor barrier in the middle layer, and an active VCI corrosion protection system in the inner layer, facing the metal. Providing effective corrosion protection forcopper and its alloys, as well as oxidation protection for precious metals such as silver and precious metal alloys, BRANOfolMultitronwas developed specifically for the electronics industry. It reliably protects a variety of electronic components, such as electrical wires,resonators, connectors, solder pads, circuit boards, capacitors, coils, processors, electric motors, and many others, against corrosion and hazardous environmental impacts. For this reason, the film is also used in the e-mobility sector.

It’s waterproof, weldable, and ideal for automated packaging and bag production. BRANOfolMultitroneffectively protects metal parts against corrosion during transportation and storage.

The film continuously emits tiny amounts of corrosion protection agents into the air inside the package, also protecting metal surfaces it doesn’t come into direct contact with. The protective atmosphere is available—depending on the package’s volume—in a short time. Even after briefly opening the package, for example, through customized individual removal controls, the VCI protective atmosphere is fully restored.
